TURKEY OPENS MARBLE MINE IN PRILEP

Macedonian-Turkish consortium Pri-Mar International Skopje and Orto Marble, have officially invested €4 million in the locality of Galabica in Prilep for the exploitation of white marble. Their initial plans are to invest in state of the art mining equipment for the excavation of marble, and thereafter in a processing facility.

Twenty people will be employed to start with, followed by another fifty. The investors state that a total of 200 people will be employed.

According to Ferkan Berberi, Manager of Pri-Mar International, they have a concession for 20 years, and possess all necessary work documents and permits, including a B integrated permit for environmental protection.
